I just got back from Vegas and caught the Jan 2nd early show. It was awesome. He made that 1,600 seat theatre feel so small. I was in row Q and he still looked like he was standing in someone’s living room.
I was surprised to hear that there were mixed reviews, with some saying that he was being disrespectful of the “Vegas tradition” by coming on stage in jeans/workboots/hoodie and a baseball cap. But I think that made it even more intimate. He dropped all the glitz and glam to just be him and us. Having never seen him live, I didn’t think he could do it with just him and a guitar. But was I wrong…
